Kris Weaver is the new Service Officer for American Legion Post 28 and she is ready to start working. Kris comes to the Post with a great deal of experience, having served as the Senior Claims Representative for the Department of Iowa and as the National Service Officer for PVA.
She is currently helping a number of Veterans with their claims and other issues facing our Veterans today. If you need to put in a claim to the VA or have other issues you would like to talk with a Service Officer about, please send Kris an e-mail with contact information so she can get back to you. A motion was made and passed at the meeting on April 23, 2013
to make American Legion Post 28 a non-smoking Post effective
on 1 June 2013. Signs will be placed at the Post to inform all members of this change.
All members visiting the Club Facility are reminded that they are required to show their membership card before being served. This is a requirement in order for the Post to keep and maintain an ABC License. If you do not have your membership card with you someone will have to sign you in as a guest and you will have to leave with the person who signed you in. We appreciate everyone cooperating when asked to show your membership card.
American Legion Post 28 is located on six acres off Interstate 95 Exit 150.
Take the exit towards Quantico National Cemetery and continue on the route for
3 miles after exiting the interstate. You will see the sign on the right hand side of
the road as you approach Liming Lane. Make a right hand turn onto Liming Lane
and continue down about 100 yards to the entry to the Post compound.
